View PDF in Your Browser
Sometimes you just need to open a PDF and look: check a statement, skim a contract, confirm the right file before sending it. PDFTasker opens and renders the document in your browser, page by page, with no upload and no install. The file you open to read never leaves your device.
Privacy and trust
A private reading pane
Opening a PDF should not require handing it to a website. PDFTasker renders each page with pdf.js locally, so you can flip through a sensitive document — a statement, an ID, a draft — without it touching a server. When you are done reading, download the original if you need it, or just close the tab.

FAQ
PDF viewer FAQ
Is the PDF uploaded when I open it?
No. The file is opened and rendered entirely in your browser, so it never goes to a server just to be displayed. That makes the viewer a safe way to open documents you would rather not hand to an online service — statements, contracts, IDs — because nothing about the file leaves your device while you read it.
Do I need an account or any software?
No. The viewer runs in the browser you already have, with no sign-up, plugin, or install. Open the page, add a PDF, and read it. This helps on a borrowed or locked-down computer where you cannot install a PDF reader but still need to check a document quickly and privately.
Can I edit the PDF here?
No. This tool is for reading and flipping through pages, not editing. To change a document, the other PDFTasker tools handle specific jobs — merge, split, rotate, watermark, sign, or organize pages — each in the browser without uploading. The viewer is the place to check a file before or after you process it.
Why use this instead of my built-in viewer?
Most browsers and operating systems already open PDFs, and that is fine. This viewer is handy when you want a clean, private reading pane on any device, or when you are mid-workflow on PDFTasker and want to confirm a file looks right before downloading or sending it. Everything stays local either way.
What kinds of PDFs can it open?
Standard PDFs open and render page by page. Very large files or documents with heavy graphics take more browser memory and may render more slowly, since your device does the work. If a file will not open it may be encrypted or damaged; for password-locked files, use the unlock tool first with the password you know.
